Emergency food Bags

We deliver emergency food bags for urgent needs when we are able. These are the items that typically go in an emergency bag. We always need these items and will accept non-perishable donations if you are local. Call or email to arrange local pick-up. You can also use our Amazon order list if that is easier for you.  Amazon Pantry Link

Operation Holiday Cheer 2022 was great fun!

On December 24th 2022, we passed out 80 family food boxes and spread holiday cheer with gifts to more than 90 children!

We are so grateful to all of our volunteers for shopping for and wrapping gifts, packing family food boxes, passing out gifts and food boxes in below freezing temps and supporting this event in so many ways! We could not and would not want to do this without you!

Our Story

Sunshine and Daisy Mobile Food Pantry was officially founded in September of 2020 after operating under the umbrella of two other not-for-profit organizations since November of 2016. The name Sunshine and Daisy came from one of our friends who lived on the street. He called us Sunshine and Daisy whenever we would bring him food.

While the mission of Sunshine and Daisy is feeding people, Sunshine and Daisy has also undertaken a few side missions helping animals in need, providing holiday surprises for our families and friends, providing bike lights and other safety equipment to our friends who use a bike for transportation, and providing school supplies to children. We enjoy the connection and relationships with our families and individual friends.

We currently receive a weekly food donation from a large American chain of supermarkets that specializes in natural and organic foods and from Recover Food, Feed Hope of Holy Communion Episcopal Church.

Every Saturday we distribute food to approximately 75+ families who live in homes in the Memphis area, individuals who live on the street or in alternative prefab or handmade shelters, and to a men's recovery program.

Isn't she beautiful??

On May 21st 2022 we realized our dream and purchased a bus to use as our mobile food pantry. We found the bus on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Auction Fundraiser and won the auction!  https://www.jdrf.org/tennessee/
